Glorious morning. Connie O and I snuck in a quick loop before coaching. Fantastic classic skiing.
10 AM

classic ski (coaching) 1:00:00 [3] 6.0 km (10:00 / km)

First day of the "adult/masters " group. I met up with 2 inexperienced women and Martin R. met the experienced skiers up at the glacier. Nice people, who appreciated the drills and technique work in beautiful conditions
11 AM

Stayed up top and skied with a couple of the masters group and a CSM skier for a bit.

classic ski (Highlands) 3:35:00 [3] 35.0 km (6:09 / km)

SUCH A GORGEOUS DAY!! Sunshine, blue skies and brisk temps. Clear and cold - I love it:). And LOTS of fresh snow at Highlands. Soft fluffy stuff on top of all that ice. So nice. No klister base necessary. Goose, the Girl and I skied on hard wax (VR40) and it was awesome. Easy to get kick today but we were also gliding fine. You had to keep moving though or you got pretty chilled in short order. I think it was about -13 but no wind. Just a spectacular winter day!

classic ski (teaching) 1:30:00 [3] 8.0 km (11:15 / km)

Drove from nothing in Bolton through whiteouts in Everett and up to Creemore, to winter wonderland at Highlands! Beautiful fluffy stuff:)
Goose and I were instructing school groups this morning and skied with them.
1 PM

classic ski (Highlands) 1:35:00 [3] 15.0 km (6:20 / km)

Once the lessons were done Goose and I skied a big loop with Dave O. as the snow kept coming. It was sooo nice. Pretty nippy north wind though when we came out to open spots.

classic ski (Highlands) 2:55:00 [3] 26.0 km (6:44 / km)

Rain, freezing rain, rain around home made it hard to believe it would be skiable at Highlands but they are a little island high above the rest so after the rain, freezing rain they got snow:). The Girl and I had the place almost to ourselves and skied steadily and happily on nice fresh snow - on a hard ice base.
Vauhti base binder, some roll on K-base, then violet multi-grade. It stayed on and worked fine.

canoeing (Humber) 1:00:00 [3]

No snow - might as well paddle. Goose and I paddled from home to the burnt down bridge. There were lots of ice floes and shelves along the banks but no problem getting down. Saw a mink, an large heron, ducks and a huge hawk.

trail Run (school practice) 1:15:00 [3] 8.0 km (9:23 / km)

Raw, grey, blustery day. Jogged up to school to meet with the ski team then we did a slow trail run in Bolton Camp with some hill repeats. Fun.
