Toodle on my mt. bike along the valley in the brief break in the rain. It started again while I was out but it was warm. Felt like spring.

skate ski (Scenic Caves) 2:00:00 [3] 15.0 km (8:00 / km)

The forecast morning rain was delayed till mid-day so I met up with Hermes and co. at Scenic Caves. I squeezed in a 20 min. ski before they arrived and then she and I skated most of the system, periodically stopping to do technique drills. She now one-skates!! It was fun and the trails were in great shape - pretty fast but not icy.
Then a nice lunch on Ravenna.

classic ski (Highlands) 2:15:00 [3] 22.0 km (6:08 / km)

Got up to Highlands as the clouds cleared and set off to classic ski everything. The tracks were hard and fast with a layer of fresh snow pressed in and I hit the wax perfectly (K-base, VR 40 over top). It was still -6-ish and the snow was in great shape. I had a gorgeous ski on excellent snow:)

skate ski (Highlands) 1:45:00 [3] 18.0 km (5:50 / km)

Met up with Kiana, brother Noah and mom Steph so I switched to skate gear. We did a technique lesson for mom and Noah which completely exhausted them but not Kiana. So, they headed in for snacks and I took Kiana on the full tour! She'd only ever skied the race course so she was on an adventure going out on the back red, Hawberry Field, Woolner etc. We had a great ski but were running on empty near the end. It was beautiful out but the snow was beginning to soften. She skied about 4 x further than she'd ever skied before in a day and it was fun:)
4 PM

skate ski (Highlands) 45:00 [3] 10.0 mi (4:30 / mi)

Did another lap of the orange with extensions after Kiana headed down, just because it was such an awesome day and rain is forecast for tomorrow.
50k day:)

core strength.flexibiity 1:10:00 [3]

Gross, rainy, soggy, grey day. Not inspiring after the last 2 glorious days.
Did a good, long balance, stretch, core session.
