skate ski (Forest Montmorency) 2:30:00 [3] 28.0 km (5:21 / km)

After this morning's amazing World Cup races, where Alex Harvey wowed the crowd with a fantastic 15 km classic effort sprinting from 5th to 2nd in the last 200m, Goose and I headed out to Forest Montmorency with Sam and Misha Buob. We had excellent conditions. They went off and did their pace while I followed at my own. We climbed a hill called Montee Infernal. It was a somewhat hellishly long steep climb but gorgeous. It's still winter up there for sure. It was a fantastic day!

skate ski (Mt. Ste.Anne) 1:55:00 [3] 18.0 km (6:23 / km)

En route to Quebec City from Montreal, we attempted to ski at St. Bruno Parc National but it was just a sheet of ice so we moved on and tried Mt. Ste. Anne instead. It was pretty sticky but at least it was snow and had been groomed. It was almost 10 degrees and getting pretty sticky so it was a slow resistance workout! Nice scenery though.

cycling (road) 1:00:00 [3] 20.0 mi (3:00 / mi)

Such a bright spring-like day, would've been great skiing but we were in Bolton not Duntroon. If ya can't ski on the last day of winter, might as well ride a bike:)

skate ski (Highlands) 2:00:00 [3] 25.0 km (4:48 / km)

Beauty of a spring morning. Bright, blue, crisp a little frost in the snow, below zero early this morning = great conditions. Goose and I skied a loop with the regular ladies then did another one. Those girls are too fast for me! Glad they only had time for one loop! It was gorgeous though.

classic ski (Highlands) 1:05:00 [3] 10.0 km (6:30 / km)

Goose and I met Connie and Dave O. for a loop of what was open at Highlands: 1st finger, Millenium, 2nd finger (no Quarry Loop), Flat 500, back orange to back red, Ridge Loop). The tracks were hard and icy but had some fresh snow from yesterday pressed in so they were great. Our wax rocked (sticky Teho blue base, VR45 cover - again!)
Lovely and fast - then had a St. Paddy's brownie - green mint icing:)
11 AM

classic ski (Highlands) 1:20:00 [3] 12.0 km (6:40 / km)

Goose and I headed out again for the full system that was open plus some extras. The wax held out almost to the end and it was beautiful out there.
1 PM

skate ski (Highlands) 1:00:00 [3] 10.0 km (6:00 / km)

One more loop, skate, after lunch. The snow was slower in some places but the tracks were still fast. The sun was out and it was a nice spring ski, wearing our green gear.
