trail Run (HVtrail) 50:00 [3]

Soggy day but there was a break in the heavy rain this morning so I got out to try to burn off some of last night's maple madness.
Ran to the metal stairs, the clay muck was pretty slick so I stayed there and ran 7 sets then ran home.
12 PM

core strength.flexibiity 20:00 [3]

push ups, planks, stretching

hiking (Dingle) 1:30:00 [3] 7.0 km (12:51 / km)

Goose and I met the Huets for a hike in the Dingle and just happened to time it in the only window of the day when it stopped raining:). It was squishy and mucky on spots but a very pleasant way to work up an appetite for this year's Cabane a Sucre dinner which was hearty and delicious and dripping with maple syrup as usual.

road run 30:00 [3]

While Goose and Chanse trucked stuff the dump and burned piles of brush at Highlands, I went for a jog down the road, up and down a few hills and back. The trails were glaciers or muck so ran where it was dry, just in time before the rain started. It was very warm. 22 I think.

canoeing (Beaver river) 2:05:00 [3] 18.0 km (6:57 / km)

Glorious spring day!! Goose and I locked up our bikes in Heathcote then drove up to the Kimberley put-in. We paddled at a good steady pace under beautiful blue skies as the day warmed up. The Beaver was high but not wild and rich with bird life.. Lots of ducks, geese, saw 2 big beautiful herons and at least a dozen snowy white egrets in exactly the same spot as last year, just upriver from the Epping bridge. They were so pretty. Saw a half dozen muskrats too , and at least as many big beaver lodges but no beaver. We only had to take the boat out once to get around a log jam, otherwise it was a smooth continuous canoe trip on a spectacular day:)
12 PM

cycling (road) 35:00 [3] 13.0 km (2:42 / km)

Once we got to Heathcote (Free Spirit) we stashed the canoe, hopped on our bikes and pedaled back along the river to the car with sweeping vistas of the big Beaver Valley. So scenic. So nice to be in the sun:) Of course we had to stop in Heathcote again to go to the Blackbird Bakery for butter tarts to take to Hermes, Hank and Bobbie.

cycling (road) 1:30:00 [3] 35.0 km (2:34 / km)

Cool grey day. Cycled to Caledon East and then back to Humberview for track practice - but left a bit late so I rode pretty hard to get there in time.

insanity intervals (circuit) 40:00 [3]

A dreary day of drizzle. All day. Goose and I did get out before it started for a short hike.
By evening I was getting squirrely so I did an Insanity workout. Did break a sweat and I'll be sore in weird places tomorrow.
