trail Run (HVtrail) 35:00 [3] 4.5 km (7:47 / km)

Jogged from the school to the new fire station and then down the trail through the enchanted forest. Lovely summery morning. Was wishing I could go paddling but we lost a "foot" for our rack and carry a boat at the moment.
Dropped the Girl off at the airport to fly off to start her own adult adventure in Yellowknife. Exciting but kind of sad. Guess we'll just have to go visit.

cycling (road) 45:00 [3] 16.0 km (2:49 / km)

Such a warm day and evening - with late light! Did a toodle up Duffy's to Castlederg and home in the last of the sunlight. Lovely:)

mtbike (Albion Hills) 1:20:00 [3] 17.0 mi (4:42 / mi)

Beautiful morning. Goose and I met MaxVO2 at Albion for a ride. We followed the Summer Solstice course that was marked for the race this weekend and chatted. It was fun to do hills. Probably more in an hour than Goose and I did in 2 weeks on our trip! Pretty sure Pate never broke a sweat.

mtbike (Heart Lake) 50:00 [3]

Was working at Brathwaite today so I rode over to Heart Lake conservation area on my lunch for a ride on the trails. Pretty tame but very pleasant. We had a very nice catch-up dinner with Bash, Bent and Pater Max this evening:)

trail Run (HV trail) 32:00 [3] 4.0 km (8:00 / km)

Beautiful bright blue morning. Went up the Humber to the stairs and back through the cemetery. More hills than we did in 2 weeks in Quebec. Felt good:)

Balances, planks, push ups, abs and back ex.
Good long stretch on the cottage deck. Then a short swim in the small window of sunny skies in an otherwise very grey day with a lot of very strong wind.

cycling (trip) 3:30:00 [3] 55.0 km (3:49 / km)

Last day of the ride. Another cool grey very windy morning. Late start after a late night watching the Raptors nail-biter. So exciting!
Headed out of Smith's Falls on the TransCanada Trail, gravel and slow but flat. Then we were on country roads which were a bit hilly and very windy. It wasn't very direct in order to avoid muddy ATV trails, and busy roads but we made it safe and sound back to our friend's cottage on Charleston Lake. Lit the woodstove and had a hot cup of tea and lunch. The sun did come out and the wind died so it was a lovely warm evening and I had a great swim:)

cycling long (Trip43000) 4:30:00 [3] 88.0 km (3:04 / km)

Cooler grey morning and windy again like Tues. We had a rather noisy and somewhat unnerving commuter ride across the south end of Ottawa. Which is to be expected when you leave at commuter hour. Much of it was on trail but some was on paved shoulder with length of room but it was still busy and stressful. We headed west and south toward Carelton Place on “stone dust” rail trail and as we approached town the rain began. We got our gear on but were still wet when we arrived at a Tim Horton’s for a bowl of soup and the use of the air dyers. It stopped and we carried on to Smith’s Falls on the gravel trail arriving at out air bnb just as the second round of heavy rain started and its showing no signs of stopping. Smith’s Falls is apparently booming again since the old Hershey factory was recently converted to a giant grow-op (“Tweed”) that employs 800! We’ve hunkered down and are quite cozily waiting for the Raptors game to start
