core strength.flexibiity 30:00 [3]

Such a soft sweet summery morning! It was already 16 at 8am and not a breath of wind. Had a nice walk and then did some balance, planks, ab/back ex. and stretching.
2 PM

canoeing (Beaver River) 2:20:00 [3] 13.5 km (10:22 / km)

Big weather change by the time we got up to hwy 89. Went from sunshine to heavy grey clouds and some rain drops. Goose and I arrived at ABC 2.0 to meet Bash and Bent and get a (masked) tour of the new house - which is so nice! Then the 4 of us plus A-dog, and B-dog (in 2 separate cars) went over to Epping Bridge to go for a paddle. The skies had cleared again and it was a lovely late afternoon. A-dog started in our boat, B-dog started in Bash's and Bent's boat. But that didn't last - he jumped out and started swimming and towing their canoe while A-dog whimpered and whined in ours. So, once Bash got B-dog back in their boat, along with a fair bit of muck and water, A-dog was transferred to B-dog's boat to see if they'd calm down. Nope. B-dog was just too wound, and made their boat very bow heavy making it hard for Bent to solo and steer since Bash had to use 2 hands to hang on to B-dog. So that lasted 800m, 20 minutes, before Bash said "Ok, that's enough" They turned back, but Goose and I carried on upriver for another hour and then paddled back down. The wind changed just as we were finishing and the weather changed again with temps dropping noticeably but the sky clearing.
We had a really good Thanksgiving dinner on the deck at their new house and then camped under an amazingly clear sky with stars sparkling like diamonds. It was pretty nippy but so pretty.
Thumbs up for their campsite: tent pad was fine, with a tented privy just steps away in the woods. Covid protocol was careful and doable.

cycling (road/rail trail) 1:30:00 [3] 32.0 km (2:49 / km)

It was a beauty! Frosty morning but warmed to a lovely sunny day. Goose and I took Susie to Tott. for a walk and a latte then I cycled home. Not quite directly, and with lots of stops to try to take photos of the gorgeous trees. I don't know if it's just the deep gratitude I'm feeling for living in this part of the world, but it sure seems like the colours this year are deeper, richer, more vibrant or something. It was a great day to be outside in glorious weather with spectacular views of red-pink-orange-yellow-green hillsides and valleys. Wow.

Note

Beautiful bright morning - the fall colours were brilliant in the Caledon Hills as we headed north. Until Stayner when the rain started. We had appointments to see some Collingwood houses. Then we went for a wee paddle on Brewster Lake and went back to look at a couple more houses. Some were interesting.

park run (park) 50:00 [3]

Another day of sorting and packing. Had to get out in the late afternoon sunshine - it was a lovely fall day but very blustery and branches were down all over. Chose to run in the park rather than on the trail. Ran through to the soccer fields and did a circuit, an exercise at each bench/bleacher
10 min. jog
3 x 20 of each:
dips, push ups, abs, back ext,. step ups, bench jumps
then a bit of hill bounding
jog home

cycling (road/rail trail) 1:30:00 [3] 32.0 km (2:49 / km)

Another nice autumn afternoon. Goose and I took some time away from sorting and packing (getting ready to paint) and got out on our bikes for a break up to the rail trail and then east to Mt. Hope and home. The colours are still fiery and gorgeous but it won't last too much longer.

trail Run (HVtrail) 32:00 [3] 4.0 km (8:00 / km)

Beautiful fall day, sunny, crisp and colourful.
Went in to the school today to help get some orienteering stuff organized for a class. It was weird. Eerily quiet and sparkling clean but rather lifeless.
Went for an easy and very pleasant run through the park and up the river trail to the pond and back.

Note

Good day for a rest. Cool, drizzly, dreary and inspired us to do a lot of indoor chores that needed doing.
Did manage to do a good 1/2 hour stretch.
