Another weirdly warm Nov. day. Biking in shorts Nov.20! Whaat?
Rode up to the rail trail then west into a pretty strong wind. Got off at Heart Lake Rd. and went down to Old Baseline and back to Cal. East. with the wind at my back - whoosh! Got back on the rail trail to Palgrave and did a little tour of the equestrian park then headed home down Mt. Hope. It felt like 4 or 5 in the afternoon with the sun so low in the sky but it wasn't even 2:00. If there isn't snow yet might as well enjoy a bike ride at 18c:)

orienteering (Humber Valley) 2:20:00 [3]

Goose and I headed up the valley to collect my control flagging tape. We did the east half of the map, lots of steep ravines, bushwhacking and trails in warm windy weather. It was a couple of hours of fun and all 30 pieces of caution tape were still there! Durable stuff. Now they're gone but there are still 12 to get. More fun for another day:)

Goose and I did a beautiful long walk in softly falling snow down the Sydenham Trail/road allowance from the Sinclair's to almost the 6th Line - and then climbed back up. That warmed us up.

It was looking like winter today on the escarpment. Not enough snow to ski but it was very pretty fluffy stuff. A bit windy still but not howling like Sunday/Monday. Goose was working in the pro shop so after some house tours I went for a good long hike/trail run by which time the sun was shining so it was even prettier. I jogged the flats (which are few and far between there) and short downhills, ski bounded or ski strode the uphills, walked the bigger down hills to save the knees a bit. It was lovely - cold, but lovely.

Early morning run with 4 hill repeats before the real wind and rain picked up.
