8 AM

kayak (bay) 40:00 [3] 4.5 km (8:53 / km)

Another still, overcast morning but warm and the kayak was still on the car so I did a lap of the harbour. It was actually pretty busy. The rowing club was allowed to have singles out starting today so there were some happy oarspeople on the water.
11 AM

canoeing (Nottawasaga) 1:45:00 [3] 10.0 km (10:30 / km)

Goose was invited to try C2 marathon paddling with Peter Braul so I went out to the Nottawasaga with him and soloed the red rocket while they hammered up river and out of sight in about 2 minutes. The river was lovely and there was a fine gentle rain most of the time, that we need. Saw 2 beautiful herons up close.

7 AM

kayak (bay) 10:00 [3] 7.0 km (1:26 / km)

Super still quiet morning so I took my kayak to Oliver St. and paddled east under hazy skies. It was lovely calm silky water.
10 AM

cycling (road/rail trail) 2:15:00 [3] 47.0 km (2:52 / km)

Quite a hot humid day but still pleasant this morning. Did a destination ride out to Glen Huron with Susie. As always she kicked my butt. But it was worth it for the cookie at Giffen's:). Steady sets of rolling climbs going out, but pretty fun downhill all the way back. Then I rode to the pier for a short swim to cool off.

7 AM

cycling (road/rail trail) 30:00 [3] 10.0 km (3:00 / km)

Woke up quite early and it was so still outside. So I went for a morning toodle an the town trails down to the bay and along the harbour.
4 PM

kayak (harbour) 50:00 [3] 5.0 km (10:00 / km)

A very hot day - like mid-summer, and humid. After some work in the garden I was pretty hot. Went for a kayak around the harbour and stopped for a swim off the rocks. The water was clear and blue-green and gorgeous. and is getting slightly warmer. I dove in twice today and ddi more than the mandatory 25 strokes :)

cycling (road) 2:30:00 [3] 52.0 km (2:53 / km)

Summery day, quite warm and a bit humid, no real wind. Got into the water again at Sunset Point after a wee walk and with Hermes, Hank and Heath, followed by ice cream:)
Headed off on my bike up the 10th to West Church and then up the famous Pretty River Road climb for the first time. It's long, and lives up to its name, very pretty. Especially with all the apple blossoms popping and the hawthorns. So fragrant. The climb is long but no where near as steep as the 6th St. extension hill. At the top I turned onto 31 at Rob Roy, rode a few hills and took a gravel road across to Gibraltar and then down to 19 and back to town. Felt good.

10 AM

canoeing (harbour) 1:30:00 [3] 7.0 km (12:51 / km)

Another gorgeous sunny day. And no real wind. Goose wanted to do a longish kayak so he went off up the bay to Northwinds and back. I soloed the pocket rocket in the harbour and over the trail into the swan-nesting lagoon and stopped for a swim on the far side. Not quite as icy as it was in Tobermory but still a ways from being able to go for a long swim.
3 PM

cycling (road/rail trail) 1:30:00 [3] 32.0 km (2:49 / km)

Made myself stop digging to save my back and Goose and I went for a ride up the Georgian Trail. Met Susie who showed as new trail up into and around Blue Mountain Village and then we did a loop of town with the fragrance of al the blooming lilacs wafting over us. Such a nice day:)

5 PM

run (road) 35:00 [3] 4.0 km (8:45 / km)

After a good day's work in the garden on a beautiful sunny day I tried to go for a run before dinner. Maybe should have just gone straight to dinner. I felt like I weighed 200 lbs. and had never run in my life. Heavy legs, sore knees, stiff back. I felt awful. I got down to the harbour and did some mobility work on the field and stretched a bit. It got better but it wasn't that fun. I hate running on sidewalks.

10 AM

canoeing (Beaver River) 2:15:00 [3] 16.0 km (8:26 / km)

Another very pleasant day, relatively warm and windless. Happened to meet Bash and Bent at the Epping Bridge and enjoyed a very nice, physically distanced but social paddle upriver until we came to a log jam and then back. We saw a few muskrats, some elegant egrets, the bald eagle nest with 2 heads poking up and an adult watching over them nearby, a night heron, swallows, kingfishers, geese and ducks of course, and an actual beaver! And there were no black flies or mosquitoes there:). The perfect spring window to be outside.
1 PM

cycling (road/rail trail) 1:00:00 [3] 25.0 km (2:24 / km)

Had to pick up my bike in Thornbury from the Mr. and Mrs. Nosnhoj so we dropped off some buttertarts in appreciation and I rode back to C'wood on the GeorgianTrail on a lovely day.
