12 PM

cycling (road) 40:00 [3] 12.0 mi (3:20 / mi)

Bright brisk beautiful birthday:)
Got out at lunch time for a short ride near Humberview.

circuit (class) 15:00 [3]

jogging, strength, stretching

mtbike (Palgrave) 1:02:00 [3]

Such a beautiful afternoon I stopped in Palgrave on my way home to C'wood. Rode for 62 minutes. At about 52 minutes I guess I slipped on a root, flew off my bike and slammed into the ground. Think I may have cracked a rib. Having done it 4 times before I'm familiar with that pain.
No birthday push ups after that, or much else:(

hiking (Bruce Trail) 2:00:00 [3] 8.0 km (15:00 / km)

MaxVO2 is visiting Ontario so he and Heather came up to C'wood today and joined Goose and me for a hike from Loree to Swiss Meadows to celebrate his birthday. Beautiful day but sloppy mucky underfoot after all the wet snow. It was still pretty white up on the escarpment so it was very pretty and Heather got the panoramic views of the bay - her visit to Ontario and seeing a Great Lake.

cycling hills 37:00 [3] 12.0 km (3:05 / km)

Crazy weather day. Woke up to a white world of heavy wet snow under bright skies - in Duntroon. Then whiteout wild snow in Nottawa and on and off snowsqualls in Collingwood all day. Made a pretty nice snowman:)
Tried to clean up a lot of stuff in my garden then rode up and down Sydenham Trail 5 times. Not a steep hill but long and steady.
5 PM

core strength.flexibiity 40:00 [3]

balances, planks, push ups, stretching

trail Run (Island Lake) 22:00 [3] 3.5 km (6:17 / km)

Stopped for a quick run on the Island Lake trail on my way home from Brampton. I tried to run pretty fast out and did 4 x 2 min intervals on the way back. Inspired by the fresh temps after a day inside. It was pretty chilly but I caught the last bit of sunlight in the blustery fall air. Drove through snow this morning and again this evening in the Dundalk Highlands.

12 PM

cycling (road/rail trail) 45:00 [3] 16.0 km (2:49 / km)

Got out for a toodle between a morning of gardening and an afternoon of other yard work, and between periodic short rain showers and hail when the sun was shining and it the wind was humming out of the northwest. The wetsuited surfers who remind of walruses were out frolicking in the rollers. Crazy changeable weather sure felt like fall today.

pole runnning (Highlands) 2:00:00 [3] 12.0 km (10:00 / km)

Spent most of the day working at the Trailblazers' ski swap and by the time it was over the gusty winds had blown away the dark damp clouds and it was a bright blue blustery late afternoon. Took my poles and jogged the red trail, bit of bounding up the hills. It was beautiful out there.
