skate ski (Highlands) 1:45:00 [3] 14.0 km (7:30 / km)

Got up to Highlands in time to sneak in a skate on pristine corduroy before meeting kids for practice. Fast conditions, blue ski and brilliant sun:) Then met some skiers for uphill/offset work and up to do some hills. They crushed me. Good workout.

skate ski (Teal's Tango) 40:00 [3] 6.5 km (6:09 / km)

Flat easy skate twice around Teal's Tango. Once with the Viking's 6 yr-old son Magnus and then once by myself. Crazy wind from the southwest kept filling on the tracks, and making weird drifts.
1 PM

classic ski (lessons) 2:00:00 [1] 5.0 km (24:00 / km)

Fun lessons out in the sun with some nice adults. Managed to get around Teal's Tango again with one group
4 PM

skate ski (sweep) 1:00:00 [3] 10.0 km (6:00 / km)

Too nice to not ski more so I did a "sweep" ski around the main trails. And of course there were people still out on the trails, heading further out after 4:30 and mad when asked to head down. Such entitlement - and they weren't young, they were my age:(

hiking (6th St extension) 1:15:00 [3] 6.5 km (11:32 / km)

Another uninspiring, bleak, grey, wet morning. Sort of rain, sort of sleet for a while. Lots of wind, just above zero. Goose and I hiked up the 6th St. hill and it was a bit icy underfoot , got snowier near the top and then it snowed big fat flakes:). Looking like we'll be back to skiing tomorrow.

x-fit (gym) 1:00:00 [3]

Gross, grey, wet, soggy, foggy day. Yuck.
Day for the gym. The "Nooner" workout at Active Life. It was excellent with lots of different stability/strength exercises, agility, and ropes.

10 AM

classic ski (lessons) 2:00:00 [3] 4.0 km (30:00 / km)

Very small kids today, gr.3. Challenging but fun, in the sun:). Bit too warm by afternoon. It got a little mushy.
3 PM

skate ski (Highlands) 2:00:00 [3] 24.0 km (5:00 / km)

After the classes my adult lesson got cancelled so I went off into the sunshine on slightly sloppy snow . The shady spots were getting frosty again and faster but when you came out into a sunny spot it was like seat cushion foam. I bit it going down the quarry loop when I hit very warm soft snow and did quite a face plant.
After that it started to cool down in the shady spots and was getting icy and fast by the time I finished. Fun:) Sadly, rain is forecast for tomorrow.:(

classic ski (lessons) 30:00 [3] 6.0 km (5:00 / km)

Sleet this morning, freezing rain, then just warm damp air. Mushy snow by afternoon:(. But we still 100 kids out on snow!

10 AM

classic ski (lessons) 4:00:00 [3] 5.0 km (48:00 / km)

A lot of kids, not a lot of fitness or physical skills but nice kids. And the conditions were great. The green was a challenge for most.
3 PM

skate ski (Highlands) 55:00 [3] 12.0 km (4:35 / km)

After a greyish morning with some damp fine snow, the afternoon broke into a bright blue sunny one! Soooo nice:)
Got in a rip around the trails after elementary school lessons all day. The conditions were excellent, the snow was pretty fast and it was lovely to see and feel the sun.!
6 PM

dance (gym) 1:00:00 [3]

Dragged Connie O with me to a dance class. Hoping to delay dementia by moving to music. It does tax the brain! So fun.

9 AM

skate ski (Highlands) 20:00 [3] 4.0 km (5:00 / km)

Pre-ski and set up for a biathlon time trial. Up the rainbow trail to Millenium and back down the Sampson field, x 2 to set out flags.
Totally different day from yesterday!! Warmer by 20 degrees.
11 AM

skate ski (lessons) 2:00:00 [3] 7.0 km (17:09 / km)

2 lessons. 1 family of beginners - didn't get too far but learned enough to get around the green
1 group of 4 young women, every athletic and fit so it went well. Worked on Teal's Tango. A bit soft as the warm temps made things a little mushy
3 PM

skate ski (Highlands) 2:00:00 [3] 23.0 km (5:13 / km)

Went out for a full tour after lessons. The snow had started to harden up and glaze over again so it was faster than earlier but skittery.
Nice way to end the day
