Bit of pre-skiing and warm up in mashed potato-snow. It snowed 20cm overnight and came down steadily most of the day. Not easy skiing, up or down and there's lots of both on this course!

Many times up and down the very hilly tough course at Camp Fortune for the biathlete training day. Fun trails but nothing flat for sure. Gorgeous bright sunny day.

Super fun speed work with the biathletes this evening in the sunshine! Did a lot of downhill work and some intervals. Then an easy cool down ski.

"Sunrise Ski Day" - best attendance ever!, but no actual sun appeared until later. Still it was a beautiful time of day with some breaks in the clouds, pinks and purples and very happy skiers. Usually it's a dozen people I've talked into it but when I got to Highlands at 6:35 there were at least 15 cars already in the lot! New record for the number of people skiing before 8a.m :)
