cycling (gravel road/road) 2:20:00 [3] 50.0 km (2:48 / km)

The crazy ladies did a group gravel ride this morning. It was a gorgeous day. ANother completely clear blue sky but it was warm enough not to keep the Buff and windbreaker on. The climb up 19 was plenty warm. Then we rode 4th Line south through Gibraltar and hooked back onto 6th Line to ride north again. Went back through Gibraltar and took 4th to the top of the 6th St. extension hill, bombed down and back into town. It was an awesome ride:) Those girls can go.

cycling (road/trail) 2:25:00 [3] 55.0 km (2:38 / km)

Spent the morning digging, weeding, planting under gorgeous clear blue skies this morning. Then got the big hill done: 6th St. extension. That is one mother of a hill. It's never easy. I made it to the top though and then rode south on the 4th and 6th to County Rd. 31 and down to Rob Roy. Thought about going down the Jardine but there was a sign saying "Fresh Gravel" so instead I flew down Pretty River Rd. Then across to Nottawa and back tot he bay on the Train Trail. Decent ride:)

cycling (town trails) 45:00 [3] 15.0 km (3:00 / km)

Did a quick lap on the town trails on my lunch hour. Clear bright day, but not warm, again.
4 PM

cycling (road/trail) 1:25:00 [3] 30.0 km (2:50 / km)

Coonie O and I rode west into a chilly wind on the Georgian Trail then up into the big chalet streets, through the village, to the south lodge, then down tot he spa and home on the Georgian Trail again. Nice ride:)
5 PM

cycling (road/trail) 50:00 [3] 17.0 km (2:56 / km)

It was cool but still bright and sunny, and I felt good so I kept riding after Connie went home. Rode out to Nottawa and back down to the lake.

Note

Rainy this morning then the wind blew off the clouds but kept blowing and it was bloody cold off the bay! As in not even double digit temps today.
Spent a lot of time in the garden and my back is pretty sore now.

cycling (town trails) 1:10:00 [3] 20.0 km (3:30 / km)

I pulled Ahfre in the chariot and rode with Connie O over to Sunset park to the playground. Very fun. Then we had ice cream:)
After that we met up with Susie and rode the big loop around town on a lovely summery day.

cycling (country roads) 2:00:00 [3] 49.0 km (2:27 / km)

On our drive back from London, Kynyn dropped Goose and me off just west of Shelburne, off 89. We road some gravel, some paved side roads straight up through Badjeros to Rob Roy and then flew down the Pretty River Rd. and back into town on the 10th. Made a stop at Currie's which just opened, for asparagus and who was just walking out? Bash and Bent. So we had a chat before finishing our ride. It seemed so easy today. There was some wind out of the east but it wasn't a tailwind so I guess it was just out excellent fitness and sllek bikes:)

cycling (country roads) 3:20:00 [3] 66.0 km (3:02 / km)

Beautiful bright breezy day. After visiting my sister down near Aylmer I rode my bike to north London to my mom's. It was a very flat ride through bucolic Amish farmland, big fields, open to the wind. The steady WNW wind. Headwind for me much of the way. But it was warm:). The roads were quiet for the most part - till I had to cross the 401 on Highbury. Which might as well be the 401. It was stupid. I survived and then got onto the Thames Valley trail system which was lovely. Followed the river all the way up through London. And didn't have to wear my jacker or Buff.
