Despite the earlier forecast for rain it was a beautiful morning, bright cool and dry:)
It was packed down at the Ex but they started us in waves this year so it was smoother than last. Things went just fine. I rode with Martha and Chris quite a bit but also with Carolyn and Gerhardt, Steve Christies, and May and Mark and his brother Bruce. There were some younger members of May's family as well; daughters, cousins/nephews etc. Always someone to ride and chat with, draft behind:)
We got to McMaster about 2:00 and this year I got a dorm room. A lot like a prison cell actually. It was so tiny and sparse and with my wrist band - well it felt a bit weird.
Dinner was good, the speaker inspirational, and the rain held off until right as everyone headed in for the night:)

Flat easy spin after too many hours in the car. One last ride before the big one this weekend, to check out the bike after a tune up. Seems good.

After much pfaffing about The Viking, the Commadore, Goose and I got all the boats and all the gear into and onto the car and we finally got onto the river. Great paddle. LC and I had our boat moving and did some good turns:)

Got out on my road bike still prepping for the cancer ride coming up this weekend. Rode out to 19 up to Poplar, then east again and south up the 10th. Over through Nottawa and Batteaux to 6th Line and back into town and along the water.

Susie, Connie O and I walked at a good clip, partly because Susie's dog was dragging us! I t was quite hot.
Connie and I jumped off my rock at the Spit for a great swim:) It was so nice.

Worked a lot with therabands and hips today. Some upper body weights, lots of the usual balance stuff and upper back mobility and stability.
Nice to do it with Connie O, Susie and Jen regularly.

Susie and I thankfully did a civilized ride (after 3 hours of heavy gardening my back couldn't have handled much more!) out past Northwinds and up into the big chalets and back down past the village on Monterra to the trail. Finished along the water then up along Pretty River. Lovely afternoon, lovely ride.

Flat. grey, dull morning, with no wind. Perfect for paddling in the harbour early. Only 2 putt-putt fishing boats, no one else. Except the geese and swans. Went along the west side and into the little bay where there was much thrashing and splashing near the shore. The carp were writhing and flipping all over each other. It was interesting and noisy. They are big.
Then I went out past the harbour mouth and toward the fake lighthouse. The water was glossy and glassy and lovely. Such a nice outing:)
