Orienteering 30:00 [4] 7.0 km (4:17 / km)

Two seperate sprint training courses, first one will set off 3 mins after and finished between 3 and 4 mins behind, second course will gave me a minute but i spent time finding a place to put my thermal so it only took him 4 controls to catch me, went to a control from the wrong course too, other than that very please with navigation and if all goes well on friday i fancy my chances with a top ten on the sprint, just need to keep concentration

Running 20:00 [3] 4.0 mi (5:00 / mi)

WU, WD and run from finish 1 to start 2

Orienteering 41:50 [3] *** 6.83 km (6:07 / km) +358m 4:51 / km

Tired pre start, will wanted to set off 3 mins after so he had somebody to work off and he sure did that! Took a piss at 3 so my 4 split was slow then he gradually gained on every leg as he could see me entering and exiting every control, he caught me at 11 and I stupidly followed him to 12 where we messed up so I pushed on to try and do my own navigation which worked well, them the bastard put to use his training that I haven't done to out run me at the end, so I happily took the moral victory as It would have been a different story had we set off further apart, really pleased with the nav though, pretty similar to jk so good training

Note

Massive shame the jk isn't hilly as I'm going well on the hills, but dreadful flat speed!

Running warm up/down 1:57 [3]

Little WU, jogged the first three to WU and make sure they were clean

Running intervals 50:00 [4] 9.6 km (5:12 / km)

2k loop WU, drills and striders
2*(500(1:30),500,500,800) with 1k jog between sets
jogged the 1st and 3rd 500 of second set as breathing was bad, 1st speed session since november/december, 5 months ago we were running 2:59's for the k, now im doing 2:35's for the 800, so a fair amount of speed lost which isnt great training prep for jk, nothing i can do so i have nothing to lose at the JK!
