I actually thought it was just a fly at first and waved my hands at it, i guess that aggrevated the bee even more and it started going after me.. well i managed to get away but it required some involuntary speeding ( znau, ya ne poslushnaya :) | ||

Probably should have taken it easy but it was difficult to resist running hard along some fast and good orienteers, so what the hell, one race is not going to kill me but i will watch out for the future cuz i was beat afterwards.. shish-kababs and crappy italian vermouth did help recover.. | ||

| Spontaneous decision to do intervals; picked a good strech on a trail, probably about 600m; had major stomach pains after the second interval and into the third which forced me to stop short. Once I walked a little bit the pain mostly went away and I was able to jog/run some more.

| oh man, the first half of the course was soo slow and dissappointing.. Legs felt dead, concentration was absent. The forest in Ringwood is beautiful but the terrain is not very pleasant to run on. So I finally started doing something towards the middle of the course; there was a nice less rocky area which helped me get some focus to the map.. Running fine for the rest of the course except going to #12 (or 11) I stepped on a garden snake and it freaked me out a little bit. Spent the last 2 controls wondering if that thing bit me but I saw no bite marks so guess not :(.. | ||
