JHI Relay

Got sent out in a strong position but didnt have it in the tank today on what was essentially a running race. Disappointed to let the team down.

That makes 3 weekends in a row that my first leg has come back in the lead!

JHI Individual

Pretty decent run, nice and tough area but nothing special technically. Good up to around halfway where I was a minute up on finlay but then lost 30s due to running speed on the long leg then was very scrappy in the last section losing time all over the place so was 2nd in the end. Still pretty happy though!

Thought Id won by a mile until about 5 mins before the prize giving in the evening where we heard that finlay had been reinstated.

FWTN around the city centre. Fantastic fun, great course and had some nice head to head racing one of the Norwegian boys. All pretty good apart from running into a low fence while planning ahead and decking it, and near the end hit an unmapped fence and had to go a long way round to get to the control, then when I got there couldnt find the marker so stood around for a bit searching - probably over a min lost on that one.

Feeling like a local now.

Note

Been ill from midway through freshers with coldy symptoms, but not bad enough to stop me training/competing. Went to see the GP today and she said its most likely been lots of different things back to back, which is why its lasted so long. Feeling like I'm getting over it now so hopefully this is it.
