Note
Walked playing golf with Peter. I've been riding in a cart most of the time when I play now. But everything hurt by the end of the round and that has delayed going to the gym.

2.5 miles. The HR seemed bogus. Slowly went to 157--okay, but then went off for a bit and when it registered again never went above 135.

Because the machines were busy, I did weights after. My right knee was worse and not happy doing leg extensions. I'll have to stick to doing the leg exercises first.

Includes 6 min on the elliptical trainer. I'll have to see if that makes my knee feel better or worse. Feeling disturbingly weak.

Monday Oct 9

orienteering race 1:12:55 [3] *** 4.24 km (17:12 / km)
(injured) shoes: Jalas
NAOC Wine-O 2 loops. Started out trying to jog. Knee didn't hurt for the first 100 yards. Continued to jog some in the first loop, but not in the second until the last little bit down the dirt rd. Still managed a few silly mistakes. Nice little area.

Sunday Oct 8

(injured) shoes: Jalas
NAOC Classic. Tried to jog more. Big mistake on #1 when I let other course runners pull me off and I didn't recover quickly. Went straight between 2 and 3 since I was walking then, but it would have been faster even then to go around. Another mistake near #7 when distracted by other controls near mine. I think I was paying so much attention to my knee and trying not to fall that I wasn't paying enough attention to the map. Ended up 3rd.

Saturday Oct 7

orienteering race 55:42 [3] *** 3.4 km (16:23 / km)
(injured) shoes: Jalas
NAOC Middle. Walked with a knee brace. No problems until I started to jog near the end when I immediatly made a mistake. Knee hurt a lot but was no worse the next day. Others made enough mistakes that I came in first in F55-64.
