Warm up round the yellow course.

CSC final, Long Valley North, Brown.
Was expecting to get caught by Schorah (+2 mins) and gg (+4 mins) but had hoped I'd last a little longer than #4. Was orienteering like an idiot though so glad I didn't miss them all together. Was fairly happy keeping up with them, and the road crossing came at just the right time to re-tie my shoe laces. Got ahead when gg made a small miss at #20 and had to make my own route choice to #22. Saw gg go the other way and thought that would be the last I'd see of him, but ended up at the control at the same time. So probably found 1/4 of the controls by myself.

Blackwater station to Barossa. Bit further than I'd appreciated.

Orienteering 56:28 [3] 9.5 km (5:57 / km) +100m 5:39 / km

Military League South - Barossa. 1hr score.
Wasn't sure if I'd get them all so went for the ones in the nice forest first. Picked them up pretty quickly despite a few silly mistakes then got the rest with a few minutes to spare. Definitely not the optimum route. Good to get my eye back in before Sunday, felt a lot smoother by the end.
