Run intervals 20:00 [4] 3.2 km (6:15 / km)

All Nations intervals. Not sparkling but decent enough. A bit of left hamstring tightness at the end - if this persists tomorrow will back off as a precaution given what's coming up this weekend.

The City of Darebin (which, as an aside, has just lost its deputy mayor (and aspiring federal Liberal candidate for the not-exactly-winnable Batman) after he referred to the Minister for Local Government as "Fat Natalie" in a Facebook post) is a proudly multicultural community. Clearly many of its residents still have some work to do in obtaining a comprehensive understanding of English given the number of them (most of whom looked very Anglo-Saxon) who appear not to understand the last two words of the signs "Dogs allowed on leash".

Run warm up/down 23:00 [3] 4.0 km (5:45 / km)

Warm-up and down. The traffic probably wasn't too pleased at the people trying to manouevre a truck into a building site on Victoria Road in the middle of peak hour, but it did give me the opportunity to get across without delay.

Speaking of building, the Pakistan High Commission in Canberra have introduced an interesting legal concept by claiming diplomatic immunity upon being taken to court for failing to pay for their renovations.
