Attempt at the middle, looked at the map and it was so nice looking down at 1:10 000. then wrekt my ankle on the way to one and spent some time debating continuing or retiring. decided on retiring. As I twisted it I let out a big yelp, an older dude asked me if I was alright and then 30 metres behind me, just after, an old lady took a big tumble and was groaning. He went to tend to her then. whattalad.

it's loads better now.

Started off pretty nicely and positive, until the 7th control where I went within 5m of it and then stuffed around for 4:20. So pretty demotivated after that. Have kind of lost my fighting ability after making a mistake, but it will be back.

Then stuffed up 10 pretty major.

Later on started having a lot more fun and actually doing some orienteering. and looking up nicely enough. Also pleasantly surprised with how I wasn't absolutely destroyed after 2:30:00 of running. Think this also might be due to it not being as hot as when I've run that long in South Africa.

Not the best prep the day before, not gonna be doing that again.
