Note

Pretty beat up still from the Icy-8, but don't think there's anything permanent. Right hip still pretty achy ... going to try some vitamin I.

Here are the preliminary results files:

Mens
Womens

Official results up Wednesday, most likely.

I wish I had known that I could have moved from 6th to 4th (one guy, first place gal!) if I'd done the 2 x short loops (9.9mi) instead of the 1 x long loop (8.13mi) at the end. I had just over 100 minutes after 8x short loops, and so only needed to do 10:12s to get it done (and even seriously dawdling I did 10:49s for the 8.1), and needed no pit stop between the two laps for gear, etc. The lesson learned: do leave it out on the course, because you'll regret it (at least a bit) if you didn't. But 20-20 hindsight and all that stuff ... and I did run the total actual miles (47+) that was my "I really doubt I can, but maybe I'll try" goal, so ... man, these loop races are mentally tough!

Wow, look at laps 2 & 3! Actual RunTimes/Paces (Lap Time - Pit Time) were IDENTICAL!

The RunTime column really makes me realize how steady I was, and how doable the 10 was, and how deleterious the 3 extra 'pit' minutes (8:28 total) to fiddle with my socks was. In the future, I need to keep the pit times as separate splits. Need more crew!! :)
