Note
(rest day)

So tired from the travel and lack of sleep that I slept until 2pm and just laid around the house the rest of the day. Back on the horse tomorrow I hope.

Rest day flying home. 22 hours of travel today. Wiped me out. 5 minutes after walking in the door at 1am my mom calls me and tells me that my step father passed away. Guess it is off to Iowa for next week.... sigh.....

Hike/Walk/Ruck (Road) 4:00:00 [2] 8.0 mi (30:00 / mi) +2100ft 24:02 / mi

Spent most of the day walking around the city doing the tourist stuff before fly out in the morning. Super hilly city. Guess on mileage and elevation gain, I know I am close.

Huayna Potosí in Bolivia at 19,974ft. Long as day. Most people do this mountain in 2-3 days, we did it in one push. 2 out of 4 of us made it. I turned the other 2 around at 19,200ft due to time as I was coming down. They were so trashed that I had to belay them down the ice wall then solo climb down myself without rope. I was like a kid in a candy store all day. So fun! Already pondering another big mountain for next year.

(rest day)

Rest day today, leaving for base camp which sits at 15,600ft at 3pm. We leave for the summit around midnight. Most people do this over 2 days but we are going to try to do it in one push. Should be interesting for sure.

Did do some super light walking around town, noting worth noting.

Hike/Walk/Ruck (Road) 1:00:00 [2] 2.0 mi (30:00 / mi) +300ft 26:16 / mi

Easy walk around the city looking for $ exchange and a coffee shop. Found both.

Easy jog around the city. People and cars everywhere do lots of stop and go with some walking. Definitely feel the fact the city is at 12,000ft. Felt every hill, sucking wind, and legs were lead when I got done
