O technique training - Contour-O.
Wuick training before le Pole Jeune arrived.
Really tried to work on my flow, and got going on this training, and feeling nicer through the terrain, by number 5 Emily said she thought I had nearly caught her, but I also messed up here, started to find it vague, and lost my loaction. Went towards 6, found a big hill, and attacked again, all good. Some positives here, but a slightly bigger mistake than before.

O' technique training - "directions".
Possibly the trickiest area yet, but thankfully no windows or anything on this map.
Really struggled with flow, but also navigation. A lot of generally right, but then missing near the control and having to re-locate and hit it again. A good few 1min mistakes here. Seriously tricky terrain with some vague hills, and indistinct veg changes. I ran about 42 for the training, Olivier ran it about 10mins quicker in 32, that's a nice time. Found the green areas particularly hard here.

Running 8:55 [1] 1.43 km (6:14 / km)

Snow! Cold as hell warming up! No heart rate monitor 'cos I thought it was distracting me.

Orienteering 40:16 [3] 4.47 km (9:00 / km) +200m 7:22 / km

O' technique training - Diamond / butterfly course.
Mass start with Emily, Olivier was doing another course because he'd run it before, and Margot started ahead of us.
Wanted to run a little quicker and really perfect that flow / feel in control.
Had a few bad mistakes in the first 2 loops, 1-2min each, but after that, I really got it together and was orienteering better than so far. I even managed a little bit of planning ahead, but mainly the difference was forcing myself to simplify the routes, and use big features.
Very nice.
Pity I'm not here a little longer as it's possible that I was starting to understand the terrain a bit better, but we'll never know.

Running 1:26 [1] 0.22 km (6:31 / km)
