Mountain bike from home, up to ticknock, down some trails and back.
Calves and quads not quite ready yet to get back running, but mountain biking (or maybe any cycling) was not really the easiest thing on the quads either.

Put on a few too many kilos.

Wicklow Way Relay - Leg 7

The team had run really well thus far, and I went out in 5th, not miles behind the team in front, but with a good few just behind.

Started steady, ran fine / solidly enough for the first half, but could feel my muscles a bit. My lack of running was always going to come back to haunt me, it was just a matter of how early.
Struggled up the 2nd big hill, and from this point slogged it out on the way home.

Would have been nice to have been running more recently and to have been able to run 10mins faster, but not really disappointed with how it went because it was inevitable I wasn't going to be strong through a half-marathon.
Got reeled in by 2, and finished within a minute of the two of them, with another just behind.
Strong leg from Jonny, and we took 6th spot.
Good team result.

Only really taking positives from this.
Perfect return to training.

Running 25:00 intensity: (15:00 @1) + (10:00 @5) 5.0 km (5:00 / km)

4 x 400m, 1 x 200m, 3 x 150m hills, with Clo in Bushy.

I may need a bit of this before it becomes natural again.
