nobody really around running today cos most were racing.
out last night, heard a few of the youngings were do an early 20k, so dragged myself down to dvc off very little sleep.
Waited a bit, but no sign of freddie & eddie, so ploughed on did a bit of a loop. Hanging like shit, but caught a decent sunrise and didn't bother with laps of braids as I didn't need to chase miles.
Very grim on the way back, but nice to be done and get back to bed.

But disappointing really. Wanted to be looking at sub 16:45, but still would have been happy with sub 17. Not to be.
Aerobically fine most the way, but not able to turn the legs over. Probably indicative of a clear lack of speed work. Sure look.

Very easy hills with roar, c.hill & róisín.
Nice sociable run, and put a decent effort up to fairy castle from the glencullen side. Need to get a few more hill efforts in. Not flying by any means, but could have been worse.

Would have liked more, but time constraints. Not flying, but with the wee head torch now, and twisted my ankle on the way back slowing it down a bit. Nothing serious anyway, nice evening for it, and good to take it easy.

Rathfarnham session - 10x 600m

Cracking bonfires setting the trees on fire, and few kids shooting fireworks at us, so session was changed from 6x 1k to 10x 600m, to avoid the area closest to the wee cowboys.

Grand going. On about the 7th rep, I was thinking that the times were just not very impressive, put more of a shift in on the 8th and 9th which were better to see. Having missed the first rep, thought I could call it a day at 9, but got forced by the boys into a solo 10th which was a right grind.
