After some chaos with control numbers and maps in the morning, things actually ran quite smoothly once the event got going. I drove up with Ben C, Chris, and Mox - the entirety of the Missoula contingent to make the trip.

I had a pretty good run, spiking most of the controls, and picking decent route choices, except perhaps for 1, where there was a nice unmapped trail along the fence that could lead you to just above the control, and 3, where I fought through too much green. Nice day out, and always fun to go orienteering.

Note

So ok, let's say I want to start the Missoula School Orienteering League. What's the right order of operations?

Do I start with a single race that's the Schools Championship?

Should I just announce events as League races and try to get kids to recruit teammates?

Should i try to approach schools? Other thoughts?

The WIOL idea is obviously worth replicating.
