Dicey launch conditions with a West wind blowing on South. Felt straight up but there was a crosswind. Waited for a bit then launched OK. Got thermalled pretty high pretty quickly but I just wanted to get down since I was late. Bumpy up there and the wing took its 1st collapse as I was trying to approach. Got lifted up high and took a hit. Got back to the downwind side but turned too soon and too high. Drifted to road and turned back but plunged to the ground a bit quickly. Couldn't stick the landing but it was all OK. Should have thrown big ears in to counter the turbulence.
