| Butterfly Trail (again!), Mt. Lemmon
Also, minimally, Crystal Springs Trail (needs rototiller) and Aspen Trail (needs more aspen) After probably twelve years of scrambling around in the woods, I finally figured out how to hike quickly downhill. It's awesome. :D Finished up the trail doing quality control and treadwork (lots of pick swinging! Hurrah!) over the full 5.5ish miles. Hiking distances more varied, but probably on average shorter than they were last week. Either way, it only took me a couple days to get re-altitudized this time, so my hiking troubles have been more strength and endurance issues than can't-get-enough-air-into-my-body issues. One of my crewleaders taught me a more leggish and less armish way to swing a tool yesterday, so that should help with my pitiful lower body strength, too. Huzzah! I've yet to procure running shoes or days off that match up with local meets. | ||
