Does anyone know when the details of the NZ Champs scheduled for Easter 2015 will be available. They are referenced http://www.orienteering.org.nz/major-events/ as a CMOC, but no other details seem to be available?

Tsk, tsk, Richard; boycotting South Australia?

No promotional material out there yet as far as I know, but it is indeed to be hosted by Counties Manukau OC. Not sure where the sprint will be - somewhere in south Auckland, Pukekohe or neighbouring towns; middle, long and relay to be in a newly mapped area, limestone dominated farmland (possibly with some forest blocks?), south of Pukekohe, west of Pokeno/Mercer (if those names mean anything to you!)

usual program is sprint good friday afternoon, then middle, long, relay. haven't heard anything to suggest it will be at all different this time.

Sorry Jenny - there is a world to see that is not Burra :-)

Richard is bored of Australia and we are bored of him.

In Richards defence he is choosing a great time to escape the intense heat of SA and go to NZ at a lovely time of the year to be a tourist.
As one of the mappers I can confirm the NZ Champs is not Burra and in fact the limestone karst terrain is probably something not experienced in Oz.
Counties OC is a small club and yes they have been very slow to put up info. I have supplied them with lots of tantalising photos and some teasing map samples.

Is that green natural? It looks like the green they used in Wizard of Oz.

Oh dear. And I was so looking forward to fast Mallee running at Burra.

Of course it's natural we don't need a wizard. Late summer will look more like home for you though. And yes beware of the wild animals

Paul has ruined it for everyone.

That should keep the competition away

Even if we painted the nonexistent grass at Burra, it wouldn't be that green...looks like terrain worth saving for Oceania!
