I've now learnt that even if I find the control is exactly where I thought it should be, I need to take time to check the stand number.

Interestingly top orienteers don't check the control numbers in a sprint as every second counts. MPs from time to time become a consequence of this approach.

I've never checked codes or descriptions for a Sprint. Trust my judgement on the map. Haven't mp yet but I'm sure my time will come.
