It may not have had all the contour and vegetation subtleties one could wish for but the map seemed fine to me in that area the way I approached. I'll have to wait and see what your RouteGadget trace looks like.

I certainly could have misread the map. When I came in the second time to pickup the control, I retraced my way up but that time kept going up further. I hit the trail and had to come back around to the right.
