dude, why were you not at Lapland Lake? Sunday was a bit icy but they got snow overnight and monday was great.
Winter is short. You can't be missing a key ski weekend!

It was a gamble one month ago, I gambled on no snow and went to Georgia for orienteering - had great time too. You can not have it all, but you shell try :)
Hope to ski this weekend for sure, but first half marathon in Manhattan (CP) on Saturday morning.

I had gambled on no snow between xmas and new years at lake placid. took my mountain bike and rock skis. Its snowed enough for Van Hovenberg to open! I ended up having to rent skate skis!
I am hoping for enough snow this weekend to ski in Hariman. fireroads are great for skiing

We are going to LL, yet again - Valeriy has season ticket - needs to use it :), me too! If you decide to come to groomed trails of LL, let me know.
Most likely, my road race will be cancelled anyway, they have cancelled races in lesser winter storms.

current plan is to ski local this weekend in Harriman or Sterling forest. Got some new cheap "backcountry" skis that I wont mind skiing over rocks with.
