Magnus and GVOC Crew,
Thanks for such an awesome weekend. Fantastic organization, nice courses and great weather (kids counted at least 4 rainbows). Kudos to one of the best events of the year!

Magnus, Murray and the handfull of other helpers put on a wonderful weekend of events. It was incredible fun, with a wonderfully friendly atmosphere. A great field in the Men's & Women's elite too.

Thanks for the great weekend

Yeah, thanks pi and the many other staff for the great event! It's great to race such a deep field and to temper any hint of overconfidence by getting my butt kicked before the U.S. Champs.

Really interesting to look at the course, thanks for putting them up! I'm particularly curious about the long leg (13-14) on the H21 course on the long day. Did anyone go left, almost through #16? What was the best route in the course setter's opinion?

Some went left, similar to Ted's route on course 9 (same leg). I think the right route is best, particularly if you can find the cow path up from control 21.

I think the right route is best but not by much. I went straight and should have avoided 5 contours near the top by going even further left which would have saved me some more time. Brian May and I were 20 secs apart at the end so going about the same speed. Watching the RG animation, he went right and I went straight and we came together at the control the same distance apart.

Were they 10m contours still, or 5m? (I don't have my old map with me to compare.)

Map has been corrected to 5 m contours.
