Hoka clifton's aren't clown shoes. But I like them enough I would be prepared to try some of their clown shoe models

Given the trend towards lighter with less cushion in road shoes I'm pretty sure running in Hokas the last 4 years on roads is the only thing that has kept me injury free.

Not as stable as a pair of Inov-8s but yes your knee cartilage will last longer
