Races start tomorrow. Has anybody figured out a link to live coverage. Looks like a lack of snow is a huge issue.

Milla Tarnopolsky is racing in her first JWSOC for Canada. Milla started O with Adventure Running Kids and XC skiing with Jackrabbits and now races for DontGetLost and Highlands Trailblazers. She decided to switch from biathlon to ski-O this year.

Does the US have a junior team this year?

Oh, very excited to watch Milla. That's great!

I don't believe there are any US juniors there this year. Adrian and Stina are there for European champs and Greg, Anna, Ken, Sharon and Ed are there for masters.

Greg said there's about 2in of solid snow so enough to ski on but it sounds a bit icy and scary, which is why I don't do ski-o ;)

I havenĀ“t found any link yet to the live coverage that has been promised .

The webpage is here: http://skiofinland.fi/en/ so one would expect something to show up there.

...and the LIVE results http://online4.tulospalvelu.fi/tulokset/fi/2017_sp...

Stina, Ed and Adrian in the start list for todays sprint. Starting one hour from now (11.00 local time).

We were going to do the sprints, but the organizers said last night that would DQ us for the Masters. The finish covers the same terrain all week.

Snow is okay. Hard packed and a bit lumpy but seems to cover everything. Described at the team leaders' meeting as safe for skiing but not (necessarily) for skis.

Weather clear and cold (0F).

Not icy, but faster than one might want on the steep downhills and a bit styrofoam-like on the uphills. The little trails are twiggy.

safe for skiing but not (necessarily) for skis.

But that's pretty much a given for ski-O in general ;-)

It took me a little while to figure out where the results were as the IOF page for the event has a map helpfully centered on Finland and the dates but no link to the event website. Then the results were not on the English version of the website once I found it. http://skiofinland.fi/results/
