I should have been a South Australian. Although James and Lachie were kind enough to indulge my touristing needs with a trip to the Mona market.

I've never been (or wanted to go) to MONA; my list was Salamanca markets, Botanical Gardens, Richmond village, Mt Wellington. We wanted to show Stefano that Australia actually does have mountains, but there was too much cloud at the top to be able to see the city below.

I wanted to do Mt Wellington, but the car was being used elsewhere

I went inside Mona during World Cup week - I wasn't overly excited. A few nice bits of art, and a nice sandstone wall. I like the ironwork that's in the gardens outside anyway.

We had a conference dinner there in 2014 which included the chance to look around beforehand. I'm not really an art gallery person but found it quite interesting - I'm not the sort of person who would go out of their way to make it a feature of a trip to Tasmania, but can certainly see why others would feel differently.
