I believe the corn variety is selected for factors that have nothing to do with food production, height being one of them.

Champions photo includes three Navigation Games coaches, two current members of the junior national program, two graduates of Erin's junior program, five people who currently live on Henry Street in Cambridge, plus one who used to, and a hoped-for 2035 JWOC medalist.

The cute kid is Diego, son of Katia & Giovanni. He grew attached to Vilppu, the exchange student from Finland standing in between Ian and Ethan, when Vilppu stayed with Katia & Giovanni & Diego for a couple weeks this summer. The corn maze was his first chance to see Vilppu in a little while.
