Air North http://www.flyairnorth.com is having a one-day 40% anniversary sale. Flights from Vancouver, Victoria, Kelowna, Calgary, Edmonton, and Ottawa. Ends at midnight Feb 1, for travel to Aug 15. If you are coming to Whitehorse a bit early, get your tickets to #NAOC2018 today! The special NAOC travel code does not apply to the seat sale, but can be used for your return flight if booked as a separate ticket.

Due to server issues, Air North has extended the 40% seat sale to midnight, Pacific Time, on Feb 2.

For Americans traveling up, I found a better fare via WestJet, but had to search via their website. Other search engines didn't show the (much cheaper) all-WestJet option, perhaps because it has an overnight each way (as did using Air North for me).

For families still looking for airline tickets to #naoc2018, Air North has an Air Pass seat sale (5 passes for the price of 4) until May 7. You'll need some coordination to use the 5th pass, but it could be of value. Visit flyairnorth.com for more information.

I found WestJet gives you these flights that feel cheaper, because they split them into the 2 parts of the flights, and you have to go through the entire picking of options before you get the total...... momondo.com shows the WestJet flights, including the total. And flyairnorth does the same thing of not showing the total, and indeed do not seem to show up in momondo.
The one that always shows cheaper options is JustFly/FlightHub - but have never used them, yet....
@JimBaker - ~ how much cheaper was WestJet, or can you give some measure of comparison? I have played the numbers from so many angles and would like something to compare

Currently, WestJet is only a hundred cheaper from Denver (versus Air Canada). Long ago, there was an option for half the price, but with an overnight layover in Calgary each direction.

I am flying Air North from Ottawa to Whitehorse - one plane, one stop. Got the ticket in a sale back in February.
Got a good series of flights back out of Whitehorse on Air Canada through Vancouver and Toronto. Everything was perfect. Then Air Canada cancelled the flight out of Whitehorse and rebooked me on a flight leaving Whitehorse about an hour in to the COC Middle Champs.
Sh*t!!
Cost me about $300 to rebook on a flight that works for me. (Well I did upgrade to the front of the economy cabin for the YVR to YYZ section.)
Moral of the story: Your flights aren't firmed up until you arrive at your destination.
