Are the exercises making anything better? Or is it just trying to build some muscle before surgery or something?
The second, unfortunately, though the extra strength does seem to be helping a little with the pain. It is always aching, but sharp pains are generally when I catch it wrong, like stepping up or down a step on a slight angle. Carrying heavy stuff is pretty much a no-no at this point, and sitting in one position for a long time isn't good (car rides are not comfortable). Meeting with a surgeon on August 6th to get the real options. Then I am sure I am heading for a second opinion. Meanwhile I have a bunch of exercises to work on at home and we'll see what happens and when....
Thanks. It is what it is. My brother had a similar issue (without the labral tear) operated on 8 years ago and he has been running without hip pain since, so i am hopeful of a few months out then being back to it. Not running since may is really starting to be annoying, but if I try it starts to hurt pretty much immediately
