On the 29 km course Tove was 20 mins ahead of the competition at the finish.

In the Men's race Marc was 8th about 17min behind the winner

Other orienteers that did well were Hector Haines in 14 and Tim Chambers in 26. Tim started very conservatively and his position at CP1, CP3, CP5 and finish were. 69,49, 37 and 26.

There were a lot more up top than just those two: Marc Lauenstein, Antonio Martinez, Andreu Blanes. Really impressive performances. It does a good job of putting into perspective just how fit orienteers really are.

Kiril Nikolov also started but DNFed. Still not sure what happened.

Very impressive, but Tove was a little less than 7 minutes ahead of 2nd place. She bested the previous record by 19 minutes.

That's an impressively good video. I'm wondering how it was taken. Especially with the cameraman somehow managing to shoot her from all sides, keep pace with her, plus keep her centered in the frame the whole time. Not the shakey go-pro video we're used to seeing from chasing forest cameramen at O events.

Was this done with a gimbled hand-held camera like the one seen in the hand of the other chasing cameraman who appeared just before the finish? How does the camerman have enough eyes to keep track of where he's running AND keep Tove centered in the frame when she's beside or behind him? We need a video of the cameraman!

Yes, Mitch, I know Biel personally (he's an orienteer also!) and he takes his race recording seriously. His stabilization equipment is top class and he knows how to run fast while recording. Just watch his videos of the downhills at Zegama.

He also knows how to handle the logistics of filming. He shot the video of Hubbman in the MOC sprint camp where he organize a relay of several people to capture his whole race.

In short, Biel is a pro. I'll try to find a video of him recording.
