Also see that you were at Nockamixon a few days ago. The second O-meet I ever attended (1982) was there.

Thanks, Dennis! I was slow and deliberate to most of the controls, and I think that's what was needed out there. Charlie just had a bad day...he had a few nice ones in Laramie when I didn't. (Some others...otherwise very good orienteers...also had some interesting adventures out there yesterday.)

Nockamixon is an interesting area for trails but most of the woods are thick, and the lake is too big to have decent courses there. DVOA doesn't use it much, and hasn't held an event there since we've been in the area (almost two years now). (Our first A meets were in 1992.) There are some interesting bike trails on the S side that I might try if I ever get a new bike. ;-)
