Greetings, DVOA,HVO, WCOC and LIOC members and All O club/attack point friends & followers!
It's only 2.5 days until HVO's second ever event at Wanaque Ridge in NJ -- our newest topo map! And to boot its a friendly DVOA - HVO Dual Club Competition event. However... I n e e d some of your volunteer assistance ...
Bob Rycharski, the Event Director, is better than ... Snape when missing potion supplies (always blaming wrong person, HP or elf), concerned that only eleven (11) persons (hvo/dvoa mix 60/35 %)have stepped up to help with this event, which, between heavy promotion to scouts & at least 2 JROTC units (bus loads times two), and being the 2018 HVO/DVOA Dual Club Event, could easily see attendance of well over 180! To make volunteering easier, Bob the ED has defined specific tasks and shifts; these are the ones for which he still needs people… and registration still can use any additional help in the morning crush 0/2 = (Have, Need)
Parking lot attendant 11:00am-12:00pm: 2 persons. 0/2 we wont see soccer players til 12:30, so not a bad gig
Beginner trainer 10:00am-11:30pm: 2 persons 1/2 need 1 or 2 more at 10 am sharp
Beginner trainer 2nd 11:30am-12:30pm: 1 person. 0/1 need 1 relief person
Start official 9:50am-11:15pm: 1 person. 1/1 filled
Start official 2nd 11:15am-12:30pm: 1/1 filled
E-punching master 10:00am-1:00?pm: 1 person. 1/1 filled
E-punching helper 11:30am-1:00pm: 1 person. 1/1 filled
Registrar helpers 10:00am-11:30am: 2 persons (2/2) filled / 11:30am-1:00pm: 1/1 filled
Event Director helper 11:00am-12:00pm: 1 person. 0/1 (Crowd Control) spot help
Control pick-up 4:00pm or earlier: 3 persons (have 2, need 2 more). 2/4
Please contact Bob, at rrycharski345@optonline.net , the event director requests that if you think you could help me with any of these jobs (or need more details) to contact me or just offer 2 help at the event HQ.
For any new volunteers I offer the bribe of a Soccer concession stand - hot dog or jumbo pretzel (large/hot) - by sheer coincidence starting at 12 noon see ... wizardess & manager Daphne near the far baseball field really a disguised Quiditch stadium, 1 minute walk. sodas and coffee fore a small fee.
