Is this from the weight of snow?
(I'm always on the lookout for information about impacts of extreme weather/climate events - which have not been in short supply in Montana this winter).

Yes, the weight of the snow on the flat-roofed gym was too much for the structure to handle. People have been saying that February was especially snowy here.
Other flat-roofed buildings were deemed safe, although the university took precautions to remove snow from those other buildings, and at least one roof was bowing somewhat.
