The first bulletin is out for WUOC2020.  WUOC2020 You'll note that it is being held in Smolensk, Russia, 378k SW from Moscow.  Please check the bulletin to determine eligibility. If you are eligible, interested and able, please let me know (wornerkohn at gmail dot com).  Our first deadline is Feb. 14th to declare that we will send a team so it is important to let me know if you are interested.
The qualification rules will be similar to 2018 but are not finalized as yet, let me know if you are interested so I can keep you updated.
Make sure that you are training for this event, it is one step below WOC in difficulty and will have participants who will also go to WOC! All for now...get on my radar so that you can be included.

Planning for this event needs to start now! Being in Russia, a visa is needed and travel is a little more complicated. Check out the bulletin to get more information and email me to get your name on the list as an interested candidate.

WUOC Selection Race is tentatively set for the Georgia meet in January. The top 2 eligible runners on M21 and F21 are automatically chosen, after that the selection committee will consider GNC results, petitions, rankings and all other results.

Just to clarify, this is for the US team, right?

I can't speak for the Americans but it is definitely not for the Canadians.

How are Canadian WUOC-ers selected?

Canadian:
GuyO, that is yet to be determined.

Yes, we should probably specify that this is the selection for the US Team. :-)

Sorry for the confusion neighbors...this is for US team selection, however, you all are welcome to join us.

I was under the impression that the USA team to WUOC was selected at Junior Nationals. The OUSA website states this too. If the selection is potentially going to be at GNC, when will this be decided for sure? GNC is already just less than 2 months away.

Tyra, Linda's email is in her profile. Anyone interested in WUOC should get in touch with her for clarification. If the OUSA website needs to be updated she should let the webmaster (me) know--that was probably information from last year.

There will definitely be athletes selected by petition/application. So if you can't make it to GNC (again, that's still tentative as selection races), don't worry.
We're still working on the details but we'll try to have info out soon!

Intercollegiates -- now Junior Nats -- is a little late given that it'll take more time than usual for travel arrangements to Russia, so that's why we're not going that route this time.
