Quote from OAHK:

Cancellation of Asian Trail Orienteering Championship 2019
In view of recent social and political situation and the resulting uncertainties, Orienteering Association
of Hong Kong had reluctantly made the decision that the Asian Trail Orienteering Championship 2019
originally scheduled from 29 November to 3 December 2019 in Hong Kong will be cancelled.
As the situation in Hong Kong has not improved and the disturbance is spreading to different
communities, it has now become difficult for us, the organiser, to ensure smooth transport between
the championship accommodation and competition arenas. Also, we do not have the confidence that
the competition areas would not be closed to public in very short notices. In addition, the safety of
movement of the competitors in the territory is our concern.
Athletes and Team Officials will receive a full refund of Entry and Accreditation Fees. We sincerely
apologise for any inconvenience caused by the cancellation of the event and looking forward to seeing
you all in World Trail Orienteering Championship 2020.
For enquiries concerning the arrangements and refund procedures, please do not hesitate to send an
email to info@oahk.org.hk.

Sure it's not because Chinese athletes saw the controls in advance?
