I used to log it less to count it as training but rather as my excuse for not doing proper training, since I spent a bunch of time on that. Eg, two hours of snowing plus a workday do not leave a lot time for much else.
I have done some extensive gardening/shoveling/rock hauling with my apple watch on and I get no calorie credit for it (but do for quality lifting), so maybe it doesn't count.
If I was in danger of not getting my 6 hr/wk goal, you bet I would have logged it! haha. Surprisingly didn't end up that sore from it.
