I had those in my hips - did you? That was a horrible experience.

Nope. Proceeded straight to surgery and didn't get any, so had no experience of it and others who I know who have had them had no ill effects. It is starting to feel a little better now, but last night was bad and I didn't sleep well at all as a result

:/ Into the hip was horrible. Very long needle pushing lots of stuff into a very tight joint deep in the body.
Even worse was that I had both done at the same time (unusual) and watching the surgeon walk round to the other side.

Ugh. Didn't know that. Did have the pleasure of them injecting dye into my hips to provide contrast for MRI's both times. That wasn't fun either (long needle, fluid into tight joint, pressure in a place that already hurt)
