Looks like wise choices all around except for perhaps number 7, which I assume is where the shoes were doffed. Also perhaps some efficiency near checkpoints can be gained:). Can't wait until you are healthy again. Play the long game:)

I actually stand quite strongly by my route choice to 7, but feel free to change my mind. But yes, efficiency near check points most definitely can be gained - I can recall too many times where I wasted minutes within the circle.

I agree with your choice to 7. I think it was good to save that climb, and it's simple navigation around so you can read ahead. The top looks like it could get a little iffy with the trails/rides and green, and it's 4 unnecessary contours that are steep enough that it would slow you down. The both options get pretty much the same attack as well so that doesn't affect the decision.

I'm interested though John, what is your argument for another route? I could possibly be swayed otherwise, especially because I don't know the terrain at all.
