That's an impressive time. I couldn't come close to that even with a clean run today.
I am sorry I could not attend, but I appreciate your nostalgia and your longing for my presence.
There's one thing I don't understand.
I understand how you can run that fast. I understand how you can navigate that well.
What I don't understand is how you can do both of those things without breaking one or both of your ankles, or finding yourself bleeding (or worse) at the bottom of a cliff.
I did DNF at Bishop's Land once due to a scree slope fall and gnarly shin bruise which knocked me out for a while. Since then I've been a bit more careful.
I basically try to avoid going up/down/across the rocky slopes if at all possible because they're just soooo slow, and run along either the bottoms or the tops of the mesas, even if it means a bit more distance.
