Orienteering Ottawa and Orienteering Canada are presenting a virtual panel discussion on the participation of girls in orienteering. The panel will include Orienteering Ottawa club including board members, coaches, and parents, in addition to National Team Athletes, Emma Sherwood and Emma Waddington.
Topics of discussion will include:
1. How youth programs can be improved to provide positive experiences for girls
2. Impact of female coaches on the experience of female athletes in orienteering.
Join us on Wednesday, April 28th at 7pm EST to take part in the discussion.

In NSW Australia we have each year a Women's Training weekend, enabling mums and others with family responsibilities an escape and a chance to concentrate on their own orienteering development. Something similar for girls or in conjunction with each other could work.

Missed it (was picking up controls from a youth meet). If anyone attended, would you suggest any major take-aways for event organizers, O' clubs, teachers, coaches?
